Website Project Manager

Ruby Slipper Designs is an Oregon-based marketing and branding agency. We are all about people, purpose, and the greater good.

We enthusiastically serve non-profits and mission-driven businesses to deliver engaging and impactful experiences. Our agency specializes in website design and development, branding and graphic design, and a bevy of web marketing services.


Summary: We’re looking for an experienced Web Project Manager who seeks to use their knowledge in our blossoming company. This senior level role will help usher client projects from inception to completion, and into the realm of maintenance.

Location: United States / West Coast / Pacific Time Zone. Our staff and clients are in Oregon, and although this position is virtual, we seek a West Coast contractor.

Job Type: Part-time, contract, Monday through Friday, up to 6 hours/day. Ideally, you will be available Monday through Friday in both the morning and afternoon.

Rate: Depending on experience

Experience: 8+ years online experience and 2-4 years track record of managing a web team preferred

Our ideal candidate:

  • Versed in Gravity Forms, MailChimp, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, HTML, CSS, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Word, Google Drive, Dropbox
  • Expert knowledge in web operations, including publishing, analytics, technical monitoring, etc
  • Demonstrated competency in online development, including strategic planning, design, content management, implementation
  • Aware of emerging developments in standards, devices, mobile, and social media


Communicate with Team

Communicate daily with the team to assign tasks, provide support materials, and clarify questions. Once tasks are complete, double check all work. Review team member project load and request we hire more help when needed.

Communicate with Clients

Attend weekly (virtual) client meetings. At meetings, review the project status and upcoming work. Take notes of next steps and assign tasks to team members accordingly. Brainstorm ideas and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Pay attention to new scope ideas and write addendums as necessary or apply towards retainer work. Update clients daily via email about progress.

Co-Write Proposals

Work with our President and Operating Officer to create proposals outlining the entire scope of a website project.

Track Budgets and Time

Track each project budget. Monitor time spent towards website project work vs. website retainer work. Track progress and adjust deadlines accordingly.

Implement and Test

Implement website changes and updates requested by the client as needed. Test and troubleshoot websites on a variety of devices and operating systems. Troubleshoot issues when they arise. Perform routine website maintenance.

Copy Writer

We are currently seeking a creative, skilled Junior Copywriter to join our blossoming company. Our Copywriters possess exceptional talent with the nuances of writing copy for websites, social media, email campaigns and print materials. We’re looking for a dynamic contributor who can craft knowledgeable and engaging text on a variety of subjects, that engages each target audience and meets our clients’ needs and expectations. 

Job Type: Part-time, contract

Rate: Depending on experience 

Experience: 2+ years writing copy for a variety of industries; experience with non-profits is preferred

Location: This position is virtual, United States residency is preferred.

Collaborate with Lead Copywriter 
Work in partnership with the Lead Copywriter to develop creative copy based on each client’s needs and goals. 

Write clear, compelling copy 
Create and edit original copy that is accurate, well-researched, and meets Ruby Slipper clients’ needs and deadlines. Write original copy for various mediums, e.g. ads, blog posts, newsletters, websites, social media. Edit and proofread additional copy as needed.

Research and interview
Conduct high-quality and thorough research to formulate ideas and support writing. Interview clients to learn about target audience, brand voice and project goals. 

Collaborate with key stakeholders
Work with Lead Copywriter, clients, project managers, designers, other professionals on large and small scale projects, e.g. website launches and blog posts. Contribute ideas and suggestions.

Use SEO principles 
Use search engine optimization (SEO) principles to maximize copy’s reach online. Collaborate with the Lead Copywriter and clients to determine target keywords for web pages and blog posts.
