CHALLENGE

ACCESS needed a website capable of serving the diverse needs of our local community. That meant easy-to-fill application forms, mobile responsiveness, clear information about program eligibility, and welcoming text throughout. They also wanted their new website to reflect their newer brand fonts and colors, making it easily recognizable for anyone who visits. And because ACCESS has such a big impact locally, we wanted to weave their annual impact numbers throughout the site for donors, supporters, and partners to see and share.

APPROACH

This was an all-hands-on-deck project! The ACCESS team is a wealth of information, and we worked with each department leader to make sure the information about their program was substantial and accurate. A big piece of the website puzzle was the forms. In an effort to move away from PDFs (which can be cumbersome and not always accessible to read on mobile devices), we converted over a dozen forms to a web-based format. Through many-weekly meetings with our design, copywriting, and development teams, we kept the project moving forward and officially unveiled the new website on November 1st!

RESULTS

We’re so proud of this website! It’s inviting, welcoming, and intuitive for the people who most need access to their services. Three large links across the top — Get Help, Give Help, Why Help — immediately direct visitors to the key areas of the website where they can take action. There are beautiful videos and testimonials sprinkled throughout, and a new event calendar with dates for upcoming education classes and fundraising events. What a team, what an organization, and what an incredible project to be a part of!
