Lawyer Devon Thurtle-Anderson is refreshingly different — she’s approachable, unpretentious, and wants to reinvent the way lawyers work with clients. Her proactive and protective approach at Skepsis Legal does exactly that.
“I don’t want a granite column or gavel in sight.” Yes! When branding firm Maple Creative approached Ruby Slipper about collaborating on this project, we were intrigued. Skepsis didn’t sound like your typical law firm — and it’s not. The current method is: only give a client advice on what they need in that moment, but don’t give them the full picture or protect all their interests. Not so with Skepsis Legal. Their proactive membership-based approach is entirely different. Which means their website must be too.
Our collaborative team included Ruby Slipper, the brilliant branding designers at Maple Creative, and the uber-talented copy writer Becky of iWrite. Together, we formulated a plan. Using the light and airy branding, let’s pepper this legal website with lifestyle photos and custom illustrations. Let’s focus on the industries Skepsis serves as well as showcase their variety of services. Let’s highlight legal thoughts in a great resource blog. Let’s dish out the potentially dense information into small and snappy bite-sized pieces.
This site is loaded with fresh personality, fresh info, and a fresh business model. What law firm has a cartwheel photo on the home page? Skepsis, all the way. Oh, did we mention it has eCommerce too? That’s right, visitors can easily sign up for one of Skepsis Legal’s membership packages. They can also schedule an initial consultation. And lucky for West coasters, Skepsis operates in Washington, Idaho, California, and Oregon. This original law firm site is the very definition of reinventing an age-old industry. Hats off to Devon and the Skepsis team!
