Women’s Leadership Conference

As the annual Women’s Leadership Conference of Southern Oregon gained momentum, they realized they needed their own platform to promote their event, solicit speakers, and entice attendees. Enter Ruby Slipper…

The WLC grew out of a desire to see more women represented in leadership roles in business and the community. For years, their website had been hosted with and supported generously by Southern Oregon University, but the time had come for their own web presence.

Ruby Slipper brainstormed with the talented crew at the WLC — marketing mavens, visionaries, designers, writers, social media pros — and formulated a plan to best showcase the annual conference and ongoing micro events.

Launched in 2017, this site serves as many as 2000+ visitors at a time, hosts world-class, nationally-recognized speakers, and serves as a work horse for the conference — getting the word out about dates, speakers, and sessions, as well as letting speakers apply and attendees register.

Go if you can — the lineup is incredible! Recent headliners include Golriz Lucina of Soul Pancake, Dr. Deborah Cohan the physician who held a Beyoncé dance party before her double mastectomy, Dr. Jacinta M. Jimenez leadership scientist, Mildrid Ruiz-Sapp poet/playwright/actor/singer, Mona Patel of Motivate Design, and Kris Allison Chief of Police in Central Point Oregon. The local presenters are FANTASTIC. Every session contains golden nuggets of wisdom. Prepare to be inspired!
